Presenting photographs I (and my guest contributors) have taken of our nation's institutions of higher education, along with their surrounding communities, this site is maintained by Dr. Alan Reifman of Texas Tech University. YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PHOTOS TO ENLARGE THEM.
One of my Texas Tech colleagues, Erin Justyna, recently attended a professional-association meeting at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas (the "Little Apple") and was kind enough to take some photos for this website. K-State, as the university is commonly known, is a green campus, with Kansas Limestone a regular feature of campus buildings. Shown first is Dickens Hall, home to philosophy and statistics.
In front of Dickens (or perhaps it's in back) is the Bluemont Bell. Apparently, it's a tradition that students ring the bell before graduating.
